Annie King has been drawing and painting all of her life. She received a BA in art from Ohio Northern University, Ada, Ohio, and a Master’s in Art Therapy from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio. She taught art on the secondary school level since 1970, first at Ridgemont High School in Hardin County and then at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She retired from public school teaching in 2000, but continues to work with private students in her home.
Ms. King lives on a small horse farm and also has Australian Shepherds and many barn cats. Her animals are among her favorite subject matter.
Annie King is a member of the Western Ohio Watercolor Society and the Logan County Art League. She has displayed her work in numerous state and regional juried art competitions and won a variety of awards. Her artwork has been included in many private and corporate collections, both throughout the United States and internationally in Canada and Japan. King’s artwork is also available at the the Gallery at the Holland in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
