Lula “Lou” Fulkerson

I have lived in Logan County for most of my life and have been painting for many years. My life is very busy and I love it. I have worked in the fashion industry as a fashion consultant, runway model and department store display designer. In 1983 I enjoyed a year as Mrs. Ohio, where I was able to travel to various parts of Ohio and meet many interesting people. I am a wife, mother of five, and have several grandchildren. Aside from family, my husband, Joel, and I enjoy bicycling, traveling, exploring and gardening.

Although I began as a self-taught artist in oils, my work also includes watercolors and pencils. You may find some of my work hanging in the halls of Logan Acres and occasionally at other venues around Logan County. I enjoy other mediums of artistic expression including floral arrangements, glass painting and other crafts. My work has received several awards and has found homes across the country. My current craft interest is in creating fairy gardens, large and small. Some are table top arrangements and others are for the enjoyment of my family and are part of my home landscape.
